From Simmi & kids (both babies were tongue tied and had feeding challenges - full support postpartum #2)
"Jodi has been a godsend for our family - with both of our kids. Not only is she the most knowledgeable LC I have spoken to (and I did talk to 3 others before meeting with her), but she goes above and beyond by using her education and experience as a NICU nurse/RN. She has helped me with far more than just lactation advice, she's also helped calm my nerves when my babies have been sick - not only during, but especially during the pandemic. She has a very holistic approach and what I love most about her patient education style is how direct she is... it's helpful as a busy mom to be told exactly what you need to do. I highly recommend Jodi as an LC. Hiring her has been the greatest investment I made with both of my babies. I know I've said it 100 times Jodi, but thank you for everything!
From Mayalyn and baby (Gassy, fussy, frequent feeder... support from 3 months onwards)
My experience with Jodi was such a treat; as a first time mom to my 3 month old, there has been a huge learning curve. I thought I was in need of a LC for feeding concerns (re:air bubbles), but after my first 2 hour visit, I became aware that there was so much more to be known about parenting. Jodi calmed my baby from his frantic state of hysterical crying in a way I’ve never seen before! She not only assessed his latch and offered direct corrections and recommendations, but she took a holistic approach and really assessed virtually all of his immediate needs. These ranged from gag reflex to muscles tension, an improved sleep/awake schedule to productive activities during playtime. I immediately named her the ‘baby whisperer’ because ‘expert’ doesn’t do it justice! Truly a blessing to meet this powerhouse Lactation Consultant. Upon returning home with my little one, I immediately put into practice what I learned. It was my first time being able to quell his hysteria without nursing; applying her nursing directions, his feeding experience was nearly flawless; he went to bed on time and remained asleep! The result? A happy baby and thrilled mama!
I look forward to contacting her recommended chiropractor for newborn body work and am so happy to have a newfound confidence as a mother. If you are hesitating due to price, or aren’t really sure what to expect, I beckon you to take a leap of faith and trust that you will not be disappointed. Jodi has gone above and beyond my expectation and every mother should experience someone like her in their lifetime. God bless!
From Julie, Ted & Baby (Prenatal to post partum full support) "How I met my lifesaver.....
I was a first time mom, very very new to the baby world. At 32, I hadn't held a baby let alone changed a diaper, panic was setting in. I found myself 27 weeks pregnant, terrified and confused. Even though I had read multiple books about breastfeeding cover to cover, I was left with so many unanswered questions and I was even more confused than when I had started. I knew where I wanted to be and what I wanted for my daughter, but I was having a tough time getting there and connecting the necessary dots.
This is where I met Jodi. I read a blurb she had on facebook about her services and decided to message her as she was offering exactly what I knew I needed. My plan was to meet with her for an hour and then I would be ready! Little did I know at that time, that the hour would be just the beginning. Fast forward in time.... She came to my house and we got to talking. We discussed everything; my concerns, goals, knowledge and fears. I was so comfortable with her and felt an instant connection. She was so full of knowledge and was able to calm my nerves. At the end of that quick hour, I felt for the first time in my pregnancy that everything was going to be ok. I had found a support person that truly would make a difference not only in my life, but my family's life as well.
My husband and I hired her to come to the hospital and to our home afterwards. We quickly realized that Jodi was a godsend. With her help and guidance, I was able to exclusively breastfeed my daughter, who by the way at 4 months was a very healthy 17.4lb baby girl! There was so much Jodi has helped me with that I can't even list, I am so grateful she came into my life and I hope that other families will realize how much of an asset she is."
From Heather & Baby (poor weight gain, supply issues, pre/post revision & throughout first year of life)
I found Jodi through a google search in the hours after my little one had a frenectomy at 2 weeks old to help with latching and therapy as well as potential supply issues. First thing I noticed was her brilliant personality! As a third time mom having had supply issues with my first and in unchartered territory with the frenectomy I was extremely worried and stressed about my little one but she had me feeling like we were old friends the moment we met and totally put me at ease! She went above and beyond staying until midnight to make sure all my questions were answered and that we had everything figured out /under control. She was available (and didn't mind!) My countless texts seeking advice or giving her updates! In fact she checked in with us often the first 2 weeks after our first visit, and even helped me out with my other daughters when I had to go back for a follow up with the dentist! I can't say enough great things about Jodi, her charisma, knowledge and overall desire to do whatever she can for her clients! She cares more about the health and well being of the baby and mother than the bottom dollar, and will do whatever it takes to make it happen that you get the care you deserve without worrying about cost. I will (and have already!) recommended her again and again to other mom's needing breastfeeding help!
From Melissa & Baby (latch issues; before & after revision support)
Liquid gold breastfeeding makes lactation support accessible to those who cannot afford it or are skeptical if it will even help through invaluable and affordable drop-in opportunities. I was always skeptical if a LC could help me and I can confidently say Jodi was able to provide me with the knowledge and support I needed. Jodi is extremely knowledgeable about breastfeeding and through her dedication to hands on professional development she has a wealth of tools to lend to your breastfeeding challenge. She was able to identify my sons tongue tie lip tie and recommended a dentist to help remedy this. She assessed my son's mouth and identifed challenges with his tongue mobility and showed me exercises to assist him w proper sucking. Even after treatment and further latch challenges she helped me fine tune latching and provided the encouragement needed to hope for a blissful breastfeeding experience which I have finally been able to achieve with the support and knowledge Jodi provided.
From Jenise & Baby (poor weight gain, allergies, and support through first 2 years of life)
An absolutely amazing woman! Jodi and I met when my baby was 2 1/2 months old. She guided me through with her extensive knowledge of lactation. She showed me proper feeding techniques and gave me tips on how to encourage my little one to drink more. Jodi taught me tricks on how to get my little one to take a bottle as well. Over the past few months she has kept in contact and has helped me with every question and concern that I have. She has gone above and beyond for us and I truly thank her for that. She will go out of her way to do what she can and she has a wonderful personality. I highly recommend Jodi and her services!
From Carly & baby (latch issues, oversupply, tension)
When my son was 3 days old, breastfeeding was so painful and I felt like giving up. We were told by our midwife that there were a few lactation consultants they could recommend. One that was sweet, soft spoken and will hand hold, and another that would come in, tell you like it is and get you on a plan to success. We wanted the latter. We wanted to find a fix to our breastfeeding struggles and we wanted it fast. Jodi swooped in and was exactly that. When she left, both my husband and I felt empowered and more equipped with the tools needed to be successful. She was available within hours of our initial contact to come for a home visit and via text afterwards. I felt like I could ask her anything. She was great with our baby and amazed all of us with how fast she could change a diaper :). She's amazing with babies and also got right in there and made me realize that I wasn't going to break my baby. She has a wealth of knowledge and is truly an expert in this field. I am still successfully breastfeeding my 18 month old and am expecting my second bay. I'm so happy to know that I have Jodi as a future contact for all of my little. She also hosts an amazing drop in clinic and mom/baby Cafe. Sometimes I would go just to hang out and weigh my son. It felt so amazing to have her support well beyond our initial visit. Every mom should have this kind of support. I highly recommend Jodi!
